LOTUS AND CATERHAM SEVEN: RACERS FOR THE ROAD

Ben Corley | May 9, 2007

Author: John Tipler

Lotus and Caterham Seven: Racers for the Road covers Lotus Seven evolution up to the Series 2 and 3 during the 1960s. Tipler further continues with Caterham, being one of the few books which show how various components of the car are manufactured, and interviews key figures in the Seven’s evolution.

Even the Series 4 Seven is covered in Lotus and Caterham Seven: Racers for the Road. However, the contents seem to be a bit dated, having been published in the 90s.

There are sections on Arch Motors, Dartford Composites, Oxted Trimming and lots of other useful information showing how Sevens are put together. A new edition is in the pipeline, I believe, and we hope to review it here soon.
