MICHELIN ALUMINIUM RACING HYDRAULIC TROLLEY JACK

Ben Corley | May 31, 2007

Want a perfect garage accessory which sticks to Colin Chapman’s Seven concept of light weight=better performance?

MichelinJack

If you’re building a Seven or working on a Seven, you may often need to lift your car up to get some work done. The pantograph-style emergency jack provided with most cars is the bare minimum for roadside flat tyre incidents at best. For safe car work or Seven build-ups it’s best to invest in a safe, high quality trolley jack.

Motorists who work on their own vehicles at home often want to lift the car to remove a wheel or even carry out an underbody examination, perhaps of the exhaust system. The emergency jack provided with the car is designed specifically just to enable a wheel change, lifting the vehicle at the correct point by the minimum amount required only to change a flat tyre. At home having a robust small trolley jack is a useful aid to safe lifting for more extensive work.

FEATURES
- Lift range is approximately 82 to 445mm
- Cushioned handle grip
- Swivel castors
- Stable wide front roller
- Quick lift
- Extra low profile (handy for vehicles with low ground clearance like our Sevens)
- Lightweight aluminium
- Safety overload valve
- Twin pump action
- Lift handles on both sides
- Rubber lifting face (no damage to chassis)

I’ve cobbled this story together from various articles online for the reading pleasure of all you Seven building fanatics out there, but haven’t had the opportunity to review the actual jack yet (Michelin are you reading this? :) )!!
